recording campMulti-day writing camps and album sessions — whole-facility rental with accommodation
inou studio is built for staying, not booking hours. A studio building and a separate accommodation building sit side by side in the hills of Fujino, Kanagawa. You rent the whole property, so when the light goes and when it comes back, you are still in the same room with the same session open.
It is about an hour by car from central Tokyo — far enough to feel out of reach, close enough that getting there does not cost you a day.

Why a camp
In an hourly studio you work against the clock. Load in, make noise, pack up, leave. And the best stretch — the one where focus finally settles and the thing starts to take shape — tends to land right on the end of your booking.
Here the unit is the day, not the hour. Stop at 3am, sleep, make coffee, and start again by listening back to what you did last night. This is a place for the kind of work that only shows up after a few days of not leaving.
The whole place is yours
The studio and the accommodation are separate buildings, and during your stay the entire property is reserved for your group. No shared rooms, no shared schedule.

What it costs
Rates are per facility, not per person. Day use is $300, 2 days / 1 night is $500, and each additional night is $200.
Split a 2 day / 1 night stay three ways and it is roughly $167 each. Four days and three nights comes to $900 total. Compared with booking a city studio for several days and finding somewhere to sleep separately, it buys you a lot more uninterrupted time.
These are independent-artist rates. Labels, companies, and commercial shoots are priced separately — please get in touch.
Good for
- Album and EP sessions
- Songwriting camps and co-writing trips
- Band pre-production and arrangement work
- Beat-making and track-building stretches
- Finishing a mix without interruption
- Label or team offsites
About Fujino
Fujino (population around 8,000) is one of the closest satoyama areas to central Tokyo. Artists were evacuated here during the Second World War, and since the 1990s the area has hosted art projects and residencies. Many makers still live and work here, and it is one of Japan’s Transition Movement towns.
Dozens of small villages sit in valleys overlooked by the Tanzawa Mountains, surrounded by forest and streams. Having nothing but mountains outside the window is part of how a camp works.

- The accommodation building has a sofa bed and a loft, and sleeps 2–3 people. For larger groups or longer stays, please contact us in advance. Daytime studio numbers can be discussed separately.

- Yes. A 2 day / 1 night stay is $500, and each additional night is $200 — so four days and three nights comes to $900 in total.

- Can we use it for something other than recording?
- Yes — shoots, workcations, and retreats all work here. Shoots and commercial bookings are priced separately, so please get in touch.
